Growing general aviation one pilot at a time

Lightspeed wants to congratulate Jake Simon for getting his private pilot’s license. Jake is a part of the SocialFlight family and has been learning to fly with his Lightspeed Zulu 3 ANR headset. Jake has also been working with his father Jeff Simon, owner of SocialFlight, in building a T-51 Mustang at their home in Massachusetts. His roots are deeply embedded in aviation and Lightspeed was more than happy to help foster his growth to become a pilot.

Jake has been ready to take his exam since March but got delayed by the COVID-19 crisis, uncooperative weather, and other issues. On July 9, 2020 he finally got the chance to take and pass his checkride!

Watch this heartwarming video of a proud father and son as he passes his checkride and they go on their first flight together with Jake as a licensed pilot.

The Simon family has another son Ben who has also begun training to become a pilot, and of course is helping with the build. The whole Simon family will be up in the air soon.
